Best-selling novelist, Frederick Forsyth, author of "Day Of The Jackal" died yesterday aged 86. I have read several of his books. I thought the earlier ones were his best. RIP.

Peter Easterby, Yorkshire-based racehorse trainer, died yesterday, aged 95. He trained National Hunt winners of the Cheltenham Gold Cup and Champion Hurdle plus many winners on the flat. RIP.
