If I remember and understand it correctly, there used to be Sound Cords, Sound Pipes and Super Sound Pipes in the "old days", whereas the Super Sound Cords have been launched by the new firm?

Where would you place the Super Sound Cords sonically relative to the Sound Cords on the one hand and the Super Sound Pipes MkII on the other? And how would it have compared to the old non-super Sound Pipes.

The original (very stiff) sound pipes were close to TIS, but hugely impractical as they were very easily broken and a pain to repair. They are great if you can source a set in good condition for a low price.

I actually have several pairs of very stiff black NVA interconnects (with the Nakamichi plugs). When I wrote, I had forgotten that I have a broken cable in the closet... Looking closer, it seems that there are actually three sizes, the medium one (broken) being closer to the thinnest one than the thickest one.

I was thinking of ordering some more interconnects, and then I wondered if it's a big leap up from the current Super Sound Cords to the current Super Sound Pipes, but I think I'll skip the SSCs anyway. I have yet to decide on lengths and qualities. You'll hear from me through the NVA web site or in e-mail later on.
