What can I say Liverpool have obviously had a plan and are doing their business as early as they can . Exciting players in and I do not think they have stopped yet . Should see a few squad pkayers on the way out soon to off set all of this money spent . Want to see how we are goung to play as it it going to be very different from last season .
Looks very smart. I'll be slumming it as usual in the North...Paid an arm and a leg for tickets in the 76 yards area at the SoL for the seasons opener Sunderland v West Ham.

I still can't warm to Slot. Maybe I was just spoiled for mere mortals by Klopp. So many changes, not the least of which is this new reliance on buying talent rather than nurturing it. I wonder how many of our academy players, who, last year, were looking forward to a chance of proving themselves and fighting for a first-team place, are now wondering where they go from here. Then there's Harvey Elliott, one of the best young players in the country, who we seem determined to sell, when, given his head, we could be building a team around in 12-18 months. We're constructing a team to win leagues and cups, but are we, at the same time, erasing a part of our identity, and becoming just another Man City - hugely successful, but with no "personality" any more? Supporting Liverpool (for 60 years) has always felt like something more than just following a football club. I really hope that doesn't change under Slot
Understand the feeling but we are a club that seems to learn from our mistakes . When we won the league and the CL under this. Owner we did not but at the top . Currently our stars like Virgil , Mo , Allison have two years left and then it may well be their last . Slot worked on existing squad with minimal change and he showed what a good choice he was . His dignity and handling of the aftermath of Jota,s death was just spot on . We still have youngsters on the pre season and if they are good enough they will get there chance . Slot though is less inclined than Klopp to take chances so it we may only see youngsters in cup games . Harvey is a great player but is ham strung in not having real pace and being small . Too many of our current midfield and attack are also small . So both for Liverpool and Harvey a move with a buy back clause may well be the best option . I have been going the game since I was 12 and only just this season gave up my season ticket . We are still a very special club but things are changing and sadly they need to if we are to remain as a major force . It has now become real that Isaak could well be a Liverpool player soon . Staggering if it happens but lots of changes .

I would rather be slumming it in the North Stand to be honest - not a fan of corporate faf!
Especially the dress code!
But needs must - luckily my son will be paying as we haven’t seen a live game since the flare throwing v Pompey back in Leagues 1.
Not really looking forward to the 420 mile round trip although we are just back from 2 lovely days on the beach at Seaburn!

I have no issues about slots expenditure. You will not get anywhere these days without spending big. Man C are the classic example and they have the lawyers to get round FFP. Liverpool splashed the cash over 50 years ago. They spent big money at the time to prize away John Toshack from my local team Cardiff City, shortly after he signed my programme in the car park. Have supported Liverpool ever since as he was my hero.
I have been following the woman's Euros. Have developed an interest as my 10 year old granddaughter plays and from what I have seen is rather good. She was player of the year in her local team. Wales did well to qualify for the Euros but got found out in a tough group. If she is anything to go by youth development in the womans game in Wales is progressing and the future could be bright.

Liverpool have paid for talent all through the Shankly , Paisely , eras and through to Dalgleish . We have always spent on talent . The difference currently is we do not have a rich country owner to bank roll out buys or a rich Oligarch to just keep buying . We have both earned the current war chest we have used by profit and been smart in keeping money by not buying when the right player is not available . Liverpool are a huge club and they can generate funds to spend on the pitch , unlike other clubs we make the money to spend so we can compete against those with seeming unlimited budgets .
Liverpool will recycle all shirts, scarves, flags, banners, and works of art left by supporters outside of Anfield with the help of a specialist company, which will then use them to create a memorial statue of Diogo Jota. That’s brilliantly thought out and a class act by the club.
So watched all of the pre season for Liverpool and as always it has been a mixed bag . One thing was obvious we need another center back and a good one . Two of the yougsters who played look really good but will need managing . Wirtz looks even better than he was rumoured to be and is just class . Frimpong is so quick that I almost feel sorry for opposition defenders with Salah and him facing them up . Yes there are issues in defending but in parts we attack with such speed and precision that we may well be scoring lots of goals . Sunday will be a good test and hope we can show that players are bedding in .
Yes, I did enjoy watching it even though i have no attachment to either team.
I was absolutely made up for Chiesa getting his first league goal, and at Anfield too. I saw the same problems in defence, though, in that they were so easy to cut through. Konaté had a stinker, and Kerkez needs to throttle back, or the only points he'll be picking up are disciplinary. Ekitiké looked full of promise, but so did Darwin.
I'm reserving judgment, but at the moment, the team, along with Slot's "tactics", needs a lot of work still.
