You really are asking for trouble, two threads you've started that will make many keyboard warriors run to their laptops, ooh, I've just replied to both. 😂

You know as well as I do, general rule of thumb, the more you pay the better the dac, but the differences can be subtle. I never heard the Richard dac, but still have one purchased from Amazon (£30) long before that was even mentioned. It's never going to compete with a £200 Topping or SMSL and they are not going to compete with my Soekris, though the difference certainly won't be huge and if I didn't have the budget I guess I'd be very happy with my £200 dac.
My Soekris kept us happy in our main system while the dCS Rossini went away for the Apex upgrade, (don't ask what the price difference is). Recently the dCS was replaced by a Lampizator Poseidon, we both enjoyed the differences the Lampi made, I'm sure others would stick with dCS, the good news for anyone in this market, the Lampizator is 10% cheaper. :)
