FORUM CLOSURE - END NOVEMBER

DQ is correct that the forum was never going to be the same again after Richard passed.

We kept it going for 6 years after his death, partly because it was once the main source for NVA links in Google search results, and partly out of respect as a reference library / legacy of Richard's thoughts on NVA and his impact on the industry and it's associated forums.

The NVA website has outperformed the forum in search results for a couple of years, so the commercial incentive has disappeared, and we now stand on our own feet as NVA, rather than on Richard's shoulders.

Onwards...

One cheesy joke coming up!

Q: Why can't you hear a pterodactyl going to the bathroom?

A: Because the pee is silent.

I’ll get me coat…..

I'll be hanging out at The Maverick forum.

We have a trade page there, and there's an NVA owners club there too, started by @Bencat and we have exhibited at their brilliant enthusiasts show, and supported their chosen charity... Barnsley Hospice.

The Maverick is lively and friendly, and I hope to see you there. And I know that @Slinger will have mentioned The Audio Standard forum which is also a friendly place.

AND...It turns out that we have a few more days on the meter, here, as we were already paid up until 7th December.

Time for more cheesy jokes, puzzles and reminiscing...

Discovered this forum and NVA going on ten years ago. Have enjoyed being here. I am at Maverick. Also at PFM, rarely post, under a different ID following a ban around 7 years ago (different Rush album ID).
RIP Doc and HFS from 7 Dec. All the best for the future of NVA.

Good luck to everyone on the forum, especially Paul, and hope NVA continues as a brand for a very long time. I'm still a member of Maverick and AudioAddicts under the name of Antonio and Salamander on PFM.

Sorry to see the NVA forum close, I have learnt much going back to the days of RD (RIP), and hopefully have helped others with the knowledge gained on here.

Reminiscing.
Yeah.
I was on and off the forum in the RD heyday.
Mostly off.

Had an often difficult forum relationship with RD and his principal hanger on.
Well, the latter was a perpetually difficult relationship.

Some good online times with Jammy, I recall with fondness, and many other folks here.
Got to know Slinger better on the Audio Standard forum, and got on well, although I no longer participate there.

.... reminiscing .... Actually spent an afternoon with RD at his place, just the two of us chilling out listening to music and chatting.
100% good time. RD was quite different in person. I mentioned this and he laughed.
Whatever.

I've owned a few NVA amps and liked them.
So I wish good luck to Paul and his business.
I dare say we'll continue with occasional friendly banter on Maverick.

So, yes, good luck to you all and may the music continue to inspire you. 🎶
