I decorated my front room. Everything went and then some things came back. This is a family room and living is more important than hifi. In this stage of my existence just about everything is more important than hifi to me .

I have two sofa's on walls that are at right angles to each other. A fire place is on one of the other walls and a bay window on the final wall. I can't have speakers on one wall really as somebody is sat really off axis. The sofa and TV are in the best position for living. I don't have many options as regards speaker placement. I considered ceiling speakers and am still considering them. 🤔

Currently have the two speakers set up touching each other at one side of the bay window and pointing into the corner opposite which is in the corner of the right angle created BT the two sofa's. This seems the best option for everybody.

I am very much liking it so far. I don't miss the stereo effects of distancing speakers apart or soundstaging or all the other bollox people often go on about. I think as a concept it works for me. More thoughts as I get them (which might be a while).

The speakers in my sitting room are diagonally opposite each other with the sofa in the middle. It's a sort of headphone effect.

Been that way for years and I'm just used to it.

I sometimes wish I could get interested in hifi again but I just don't think it is going to happen. The only thing that I seem to be passionate about lately is wildlife conservation and native plants.

Purple loosestrife is one of my favourite UK native wildflowers. This one is mine. It likes wet soil, which it definitely is where this one has appeared. Usually found on the margins of water. I want more of these so some seed saving and cuttings will be required. I don't want to dig it up and split it until it has got a bit bigger.

Get interested in music again, bugger the hifi malarkey. (y):ROFLMAO:
If only. I'm bored with most stuff. I play the same old material over and over again. Chic is about the only thing that gets my juices flowing and only because I saw them play at York museum Gardens last month. Blew me away, they were amazing.
