This looks very like a Strandberg Boden headless - but it isn't!

The all-new Donner NHL-500 which has been rumoured for several months and has finally been made available.

Ultra-lightweight, full scale-length and an asymmetric neck.

This plays like a dream at 1/4 the price of the cheapest Strandberg!

Pulled out the fretless bass a week or 2 ago, sounded awful. I need to do some me serious practice with it.

I don't think I'd dare pick either of mine up, either the lined or the unlined. It's been ages since I played, and I was crap to start with.

I tried playing bass, my brain had been wired for electric guitars frets for nearly 40 years.
I just can’t hit the bass frets cleanly without glaring at the fretboard. I have realised that I suck at bass, and god knows what an awful clatter I would release upon the earth if I ever tried a fretless.
Some things are best left to the imagination.

I gave up, but now have a B-B tuned baritone (Rivolta Mondata VII with an added Bigsby). It’s a wonderful thunderous thing, and given me enough of a bass thrill to get the job done.

Been playing The guitar riffs from ‘The Good The Bad and The Ugly’ this week. Tremendous fun.

Well, if it’s half as good as that HB tele, it’ll be excellent. Several of my friends have since bought one, impress with what £169 can buy you these days.

I so nearly bought one of these, as there's a 'B' stock model at Thomann right now for £375.00. Fortunately, it would appear to have a baseball bat for a neck, which I spotted just in time.
