What you really need is an electric recliner, suit you sir.A closer look at my Dared VP20 valve amps kitted out with TAD 6L6WGC-STR power toobs.
The central unit is a solid state power supply for both valve monoblocks.
About 20wpc.
I'm happy for these to be the valve amps in my collection for the medium term.
They're really good.
Not warm and cuddly, but crisp open and transparent, well defined imaging, too.

Crap photo after resizing, but this is a temporary setup because i was going crackers not having anything set up. Having just moved
No tt, no cd, just a wiim mini and tidal. Havent even bothered with a dac. Amp is a samson stereo 260 and pre was once an NVA p20. No longer, it has a shunted pot in it and other bits and bobs in. Speakers are mission 773s
It will do for now.
I really really really really want to get my JBE series 3/SME 309/DV20X2, possibly the most photogenic TT ever set up, (or maybe my oracle delphi mk1 is..) but i wont, i need to do a lot of work to the room, build in all the storage into the alcoves, acoustic panels, shelves, all that sensible stuff first. And look at new speakers. And possibly new amps depending on the speakers. My pass f5 is rather particular. It doesnt like the missions very much. I suspect much money i cant afford will be spent...
And no, it will not be going in the bay window

Fretless also had some very good things to say about Sabaj, if I recall correctly. I was rather tempted myself until I swerved off onto the Eversolo trackA newly acquired Sabaj A30a "power DAC".

Im debating how abnormal it will end up, all depends on how much space i end up with and wether the f5 amp stays. Ive found that the 773s are really rather power hungry, impedance must drop into the depths of amplifier hell when cranked. They clip the samson amp... which is perhaps not surprising at 85-86db efficient. But at 130w, The impedance must drop through the floor. Interesting.. no flea powered amp with the 773s, they require pokey sand
I should also mention that the forced change of tack means i want the least amount of boxes i can get away with, and a bit of space to site 2 tts, cant be getting away with 4-5 decks set up and eleventy million boxes any more. Unless of course i can hide them. Stuff needs to run cool. The f5 really does not
Sorry not added here before and also aologise foe the quality of the pictures my tablet does not have a flash so the light from the french windows tends to make things a bit dark but you do get an idea of the view . This is the system I will be bringing to the Maverick Show and anyone visiting is very welcome . Ask me for any track and if I can find it will play it .
